Opioid Settlement Funds in Orange County
Orange County, Florida is receiving approximately $53 million through 2040 from the national opioid settlement agreements with pharmaceutical companies. The funds are being managed by the Orange County Opioid Advisory Committee and will be used to expand access to treatment, aid patient recovery, and prevent the epidemic from worsening through evidence-based programs and services that benefit all county residents.[3]
- Settlement funds will pay for a 24-hour support hotline called 407-RECOVER to help people in recovery stay on track.[3]
