For this age group, in particular, Idaho has consistently ranked amongst the top ten states in the nation for alcohol abuse and dependence over the past decade.

Idaho medical providers write a higher than average amount of prescriptions for opioids at 61.9% compared to the rest of the nation which falls at 51.4%.
