A 2019 study revealed Missouri to be the number 1 methamphetamine manufacturer in the country, with more than 27 meth labs per 100,000 people. For the past 19 out of 20 years, the state also ranked first in the nation for meth lab-related incidents. Since the number of meth labs has only been increasing in recent years, the drug has become even more widely available.
