Substance Abuse + Addiction
Substance abuse is the excessive use of any type of drug. This includes alcohol, medications and illegal drugs. Substance abuse is treated with a combination of physical and mental treatments. Ebony House Youth/Young Adults Behav Health Servs patients detox and follow up with therapies that target the underlying cause of the addiction.

This center offers a variety of custom treatment tailored to individual recovery. Currently available are Drug Rehab, Dual-Diagnosis, Outpatient, with additional therapies available as listed below.

Addiction treatment centers provide a monitored environment where you will get the medical attention you need, as well as the emotional support to overcome drug or alcohol abuse.
A dual-diagnosis describes two medical issues that are happening at the same time. They may or may not be related. Over 50% of people with an addiction in Arizona have another mental health condition. Screening for both addiction and any untreated mental health issue is essential, and individually managed by Ebony House Youth/Young Adults Behav Health Servs.
In outpatient programs at Ebony House Youth/Young Adults Behav Health Servs, the Phoenix resident can live with their family while continuing with their job or studies. Treatment includes educating the patient on drug abuse, medications, and counseling sessions at the individual or group level.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an improved version of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) DBT is a treatment of choice for people being treated at Ebony House Youth/Young Adults Behav Health Servs whom are suffering from self-harming behaviors. Conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and borderline personality disorder also benefit from DBT.
