I have to agree with all I’ve the low ratings and would do zero if I could. I was there voluntary and they kept telling me I couldn’t leave until the last of four days when they realized I could leave whenever I wanted. I had no real help at all – it was basically a jail and that’s what I call it. I’m sure they kept me there because I actually have insurance when most don’t and they want the money. The staff was nice to me because I wasn’t crazy out of my mind but they were very rude to others. One woman asked for chocolate milk and said she’d gotten that at other hospitals. The woman told her rudely (and loudly enough for me to hear) that “this isn’t a regular hospital – it’s a crazy hospital “. That doesn’t make anyone feel good. Basically they took my vitals and gave me the medications I was already on. They didn’t communicate anything to my husband when he called even though I gave hippa permission to do so. He was beside himself and worried. When I finally got out they did make me strip my own bed and carry the heavy bedding to a bin I had to lift it over a few feet. I’m not that strong and they didn’t give a shit. I hurt my back because of it. Basically this place is horrible and offers no care or therapy at all. Not to mention you have no access to anything you own like a cellphone. You have the hospital garb and nothing else. Can’t even change underwear. I threw mine away. If someone is having a mental issue or whatever do NOT take them here. They are of no help at all. Like I said even though I could leave (I didn’t know that though I asked every day) they wouldn’t let me or communicate with my husband at all. When I finally got out they said – oh you are voluntary. You could have left. I’m sure they wanted the full amount of my insurance they could possibly get. They did not save my life. They did not help anyone at all. The only person who was helpful was the discharge man. He was great and deserves to work somewhere better. Avoid this place
