  2. Methamphetamines are the most commonly abused drug by Texans. Both Mexican and locally produced meth is easily accessible and has become increasingly potent in recent years.
  3. While Texas has lower than average rates for opioid-related overdoses, the amount of opioids prescribed every year is alarmingly high. This has also led to an increase in women addicted to opioids; both before, during, and after pregnancy.
